GE Vernova (GE Digtial) systems are flexible and adaptable to any industry or business need. Even complex applications are created using intuitive wizards. Simple and safe client-server architecture allows to expand SCADA system to 200 client stations. Moreover, iFIX uses an extended library of communication drivers for various types of industrial automation devices. It also uses OPC-UA standard at a server and client level and, above all, integrates with other GE software platform solutions and MES or ERP systems in a very intuitive and simple way.

SCADA FIX software appeared in Malbork Sugar Factory in 1997 along with automation of magma cooking process (a) and crystallization line in the production. In the next years, the system was extended to include a seed magma line, automatic cooking of magmas B and C, and a line for drying and transporting sugar. As a result of the development, another 2 FIX operator stations have been added. At this stage of system development, the database contains about 1300 variables.
